Overview
Nimbus Pay lets people send money from their phones, but sending took too many steps and too many people gave up at the confirm screen. Fees appeared late and the summary read like a receipt, not a reassurance.
I redesigned the send, request, and split flows to feel as quick as messaging: one screen to send, clear fees up front, and confirmation states that show exactly what happened.
Designing for trust
Challenge
Sending money took too many steps and people abandoned it at the confirm screen. Fees showed up late and nothing confirmed the money had actually moved.
Approach
I rebuilt send, request, and split around a single screen each, wrote every fee and confirmation state in plain words, and tested with real senders weekly.
Outcome
A one-screen send flow with instant receipts and biometric confirm — sending money now feels as quick as sending a message.
